How Do We Deserve People Like Dave Grohl??? Today, on a Very Special Episode of MMM...
Honorable mention to Keanu Reeves. Welcome to Mike's Music Morning.
First, please READ THIS: “Dave Grohl barbecues for more than 24 hours at homeless shelter, provides 450 meals”:
Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl spent more than 24 hours cooking meals for people experiencing homelessness during a major winter storm hitting Southern California.
Grohl and his friends showed up on Feb. 22 with his barbecue smokers, ready to cook for the Hope the Mission shelters.
According to Grace Ancheta, director of development for Hope the Mission, Grohl provided all the food, which he then spent more than 24 hours cooking in the middle of the storm last week.
That, ladies and gentlemen, is how to be a good human.
In my continuing praise of Dave Grohl as the Greatest Gen X Musician of All-Time (I said what I said), I present to you a few of my favorite songs, and the preceding article, in celebration of a badass.
It also doesn’t hurt that I love to cook too. See HERE and HERE for a new series on our sister publication,
On with the show!
In honor of the awesomeness that is Dave Grohl, here are six of my faves, and links to four more that we’ve mentioned in other posts. Let’s count ‘em down!

Yes, it’s all Foo Fighters. In another post I’ll talk about his work with Nirvana and Queens of the Stone Age.
Until then, Fight your Foos, dudes.

This is an interesting choice for best gen X artist. However there is no denying that he played in Nirvana and drummed on "Nevermind" one of the absolute best albums of the 90s. Then had a successful solo career and managed to drum on the Queens of the Stone Age album "Songs for the Deaf" which is one of the very best albums of the 2000s. His drumming work is particularly impressive.
Also no one seems to have a bad thing to say about the guy and his charity work is awesome. He seems to be one of those people that just has a strong purpose and lends a ton of energy into everything he does.
