I still believe that the greatest American contribution to Art is jazz of the 50's, 60's, and 70's (before fusion). Winton Marsalis has breathed new life into it. And I listen to early pre-drug rock and classic country too. My latest love is Hasidic religious tunes. Music colors the mind. My next piece in substack touches upon this.
Oh, and the Black Keys definitely need to be on the best Xer band list. They barely qualify though! The duo born in '79 and '80.
