Hi David. I understand that this channel is not intended to have a focus on any one "Abrahamic" religion, so expressions and discussions of various beliefs are not only fair game, but encouraged here. I think that is laudable, or I wouldn't be here. I also really appreciate having a forum to discuss our beliefs. Thank you for that!

Given that, I would like to direct interested parties to a good discussion of the topic of whether or not God had a wife (and also how it "allegedly" was scrubbed from biblical texts) at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5R7Y9q88kQ

As to using "goddess" as a theme, I think it's okay as long as it's imagined in the lowercase "g" sense, like as a personification of nature or creativity, for example. But if it veers into another visualization of or alternative to God, that's heading towards a violation of the First Commandment.

Also, just a comment, about how to place Jesus in our overall landscape of religious observance (I may be mischaracterizing what you said, and if so I apologize). Here's a quote from the Catechism for your edification: “All Sacred Scripture is but one book, and that one book is Christ, because all divine Scripture speaks of Christ, and all divine Scripture is fulfilled in Christ” (Hugh of St. Victor).

Don't worry Alec, it's very much in the lowercase sense - a Mother Nature metaphor type sense - not any specific goddess to be worshipped. More a spirit of kindness and love to be invoked. We just recorded a podcast for tomorrow in which we talk about it more.
