Mike, thanks for your keen insights on Star Trek. The Captain Kirk/Mr. Spock series will always be my favorite. No matter how beautifully cheesy the sets, there's a real love for our flea-bitten race of humans written into every story.
It holds a special place in my heart, to be sure, but Next Gen was the one that got me through some stuff at an early age. Favorite TOS episode? Mine's "The Trouble with Tribbles". There are others, but I think they got the humor just right on that one. And I love that DS9 did an homage to it.
