What Music Reminds You of Certain Parts of Your Life?
I've got some good ones for todays Mike's Music Morning.
Music is an integral part of my life, in case you haven’t noticed.
There’s stuff that is directly tied to specific memories though. Where you hear them. When you hear them. How you hear them.
WARNING! DANGER, WILL ROBINSON!
This is going to be totally random.
Lurvs me some Fleetwood Mac. I think I made my mother sick of it for a while.
Don’t know if anyone else remembers this, but I remember it being a powerful moment.
First heard this in high school.
#StoryTime: I went to my one and only ever Star Trek Convention and saw this opening weekend with a theater full of Trekkies in Boise, ID, in basically the same week. I got to shake James Doohan’s hand at the convention (And there’s a code amongst guys that shook Doohan’s hand).
Also, when the Bird of Prey blew up, everybody cheered. Like, seriously. Everybody.
I think this album came out around the same time.
Flash forward to 1994, I’m working in LA at Universal Citywalk. Got to see this at that theater opening weekend too. Again with the theater full of geeks like me. This is a pic of me around that time from the store I worked at:
This one is dark, but I love it.
Also a little dark. Basically, this was my angry young man phase.
This whole album is amazing.
And, finally… to bring it back around. Went to see this while I was in the Navy. Dorky movie, but I love it.
Good morning from Western Wishes.
