Top 19 Comic Book Characters from a Comic Book Artist (Plus Some Honorable Mentions)
I tried to rank them, but I decided to go chronological with art I've done instead... Well, mostly....
Superman (Reeve and Cavill, animated series', and comics): Superman has always been my favorite. I was 3 when “Superman: The Movie” came out. Between the visuals and the score… well, let’s just say it left a lasting impression…
First up, The Man of Steel. Literally.
I did a lot of coloring contests back in the day on DeviantArt, both to polish my skills, but also to get feedback, and get private commissions…
It’s always cool to walk away from something you’ve smashed
Wolvie, and Spidey, and Hulk! Oh, my!
Thor Odinson
Cap Wielding Mjolnir
Green Lantern (In this case, Kyle Raynor, a graphic artist)
The Batman
Diana, Princess of Thymiscira
Does The Avatar count as a superhero?
The Question and the Huntress
From Watchmen (Ultimate Cut of the movie was great, book was better)
No art for this but it deserves it’s own grouping:
Dr. Manhattan (God-like power, still fallible)
Ozymandias (Evil deeds, but for the greater good)
Rorschach (Psycopathic focus on justice)
The Comedian (It's all a joke)
V (Hugo Weaving, but the book is amazing)
No art for this guy either, but I have two pairs of PJ pants and a Taco Tuesday t-shirt featuring Deadpool (The Merc with a Mouth, Kelly's run in the comics was genius, along with the Ryan Reynolds [“..the short-shorted, two-dimensional sex object peddled by Hollywood.”])
Honorable Mentions:
Hiro Nakamura, Peter Petrelli, Matt Parkman, and Claire Bennett from the show "Heroes". Written by Jeff Loeb, art by Tim Sale of "Batman: The Long Halloween"
Don’t have any art from this either. I mean, how do you top a guy who’s superpower is illustrating the future?
Good afternoon from Western Wishes.
Kilgore
